Tamil Nadu Electricity Board - Chennai

Despite a general shortage of water all around Tamil Nadu, Electric supply or Power generation has not taken a hit : may be due to the additional supply harvested from Wind Energy or Nuclear or even Solar. Despite the adequate availability of Power, the supply or power distribution in Chennai and other major cities or even the whole of Tamilnadu continues to be PATHETIC. THIS IS MAINLY DUE TO THE GROSS NEGLIGENCE OF TNEB who are never known to be very efficient or committed to their jobs. In fact, TNEB have carved a unique name for themselves as a "house bed of corruption, inefficiency, nepotism and indifference to customer complaints. If somebody has some doubt about the above statement - please take the trouble of calling the "fuse box" of local TNEB office in case of power failure or
even approach them for remedy in case of a problem in the transformer of the locality, covering power supply to your office.The way they behave and demand for "speed money" will make you believe that these TNEB staff do not get salary at all...!!..Even the guy who comes to your house to read the Electricity meter will have an air of arrogance in him. TNEB offices, where you go to pay the bills (until recently) tell
you clearly "NOT WELCOME" - when you visit them bi monthly. They have air conditioning INSIDE their counter but the lone fan in the customer's side WILL NOT FUNCTION. THEY ARE A PERFECT PICTURE OF AN INEFFICIENT STATE GOVERNMENT..!!..

Power position is quite good but infrastructure is out dated with the current usage the the transformers are not able to take load, and fails very often and our politician are not interested in infrastructure developments their interest is to safeguarding their seats for the next four years.
