Corporation is trying its best. There are two problems: No place to process the waste and political interference Unless the political system including the local unions and associations are made aware of the need for proper waste management and their support is got, this swattch Bharat can never happen. A plan for processing of the collected waste is no there. So no use keeping bins.
Provide waste bins at equal intervals in road side. Also, provide sufficient monitoring system for the usage of the same.It can be done by using cameras/squads.
The basic habit of citizens -throwing of garbage out of their compound,no botheration of where it falls- is the main problem. We have to educate all-kids to senior citizens- how to properly dispose household garbage.Bio degradable itself to be sorted into two. I suggest that each house should have a biogas plant & a kitchen bin. Proper usage of these two will help reducing our LPG usage and improve growth of our garden plants. Our streets will be clean & the city will be beautiful.
Municpal service in Thiruvananthapuram is one of the worst compared to the previous ones. Once a clean and good city now it is full of dirt and irregular planning.. Wast management is uncontrollable and not proper in its peak... The situation is alarming and when rain starts many contagious disease can follow.

The muncipal corporation of Thiruvananthapuram is terrible. People are dumping the waste in the road side and there is no proper mechanism to stop the same. The corporation is not at all collecting the waste from home.
