Drivers jump the signal even when the signal is green for pedestrian crossings. The lives of pedestrians are endangered, and the traffic police (when they are there) are always looking the other way.
Very true. Jumping red signal's become a common scene. Auto Rickshaw's do not follow any rules at all and even BEST busses are seen doing the same most of the time. Jumping signal has become a very common affair and no one feels like they are breaking any rule. Will request the Authorities to take some action at the earliest and the perpetrators need to be fined and thought lesson.
Traffic Management, by and large, is a joke in Mumbai. Jumping the red signals, driving on the wrong side of the road, honking horns for no reason, cutting lanes and importantly conversing on the mobile phone while driving - are daily occurrences and i hardly see the Traffic police do anything significant to control this utter indiscipline. And i do not understand why the traffic cops all congregate at the signals while their job should be to de-bottleneck the approach roads. Those who reach the signals will anyway move ahead based on the signal. And the only guys who are pulled up for small offences are the auto and taxi drivers. Not those in the luxury cars and SUVs.
A tempo belonging to unauthorized dosa stall (Rajubhai tempo) is parked 365x 24x7 exactly below no parking board opposite Bhaidas Hall, junction of Bhaidas Bhutta chowk, JVPD Scheme, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai-400056, <br/>Also vehicles are always parked under no parking boards in the lanes at Bhaidas Bhutta chowk, opposite Bhaidas Hall, JVPD Scheme, and non authorities are bothered to fine or tow the same.
