the situation has drastically improved since last year.there is no major power cut and suppose there is one, it is informed atleast a day in advance. last year summers we dont know when there was power the entire time, day or night but this year a drastic improvement atleast till today.people are working hard for it is evidenced.
I have an industrial connection as well as an apartment in a multi-storeyed housing complex. The power situation has considerably improved over the last few months, and is very good even during summer months. I believe most of the outages are caused by local disturbances, and I find that even these local issues are being addressed expeditiously with new control panels being installed in industrial areas. As to the apartment complex I live in, there are 2 issues: 1. Because of construction going on at the adjacent NH24, sometimes there are shutdowns for shifting of transmission lines (most of the time with prior notice). 2. The builder being what he is, he uses this excuse of shutdowns by NHAI (or during extreme weather conditions) to extend the power outage indefinitely because he is prone to earn higher amounts when his Diesel gensets are running (Rs. 14 per unit).
