Some time back when the process of electricity meters by the department was going on in my sector for all the connections, my electricity meter in the house became faulty before it could be replaced in its turn, I was made to pay for full cost of the new meter as I refused to entertain the demand of the person who was replacing the meter. According to him if I pay half the cost of meter (About 5 thousand) to him nothing would be charged by the department for replacing the meter.
The Department does not believe in giving customer Service. The complaint office will not pick up the phone unless you try repeatedly. Then they will direct you to the linesman, who demands money to attend your complaint especially at night. If you do not give then they will say we will attend in the morning and disappear. No guarantee of if they will come again. You literally run from pillar to post unless u pay. Pure Blackmail
