Service is Good in our area.
the tariff charged by the D2H is high in relation to the entertainment value offered by the channels, for the following reasons:
1. the repeats of programs, movies are on the rise.
2. the duration of the program is cut short by increasing the time for advertisements. for instance the message reads "back in 2 minutes" in reality the 2 minutes starts after a lapse of two minutes of advts. this is royal cheating,
3. some channels I do not want to name them, show only the re-runs;
4. the packaging or grouping of channels is meaningless. unwanted or irrelevant (free) channels are included in the package. for example South Package excludes Sports and Star channels totally;
5. tariff for individual channels, too high
6. advts are shown even in News, Religious programmes;
7. the running programmes are interrupted unnecessarily with news flashes or advt flashes, affecting the eye-sight of the viewer.
8. display of multiple marquis distorts the viewability of the programme.
thus the EQ vis-a-vis the tariff charged is high; the unfair trade practices indulged into by the TV channels should be curbed.
the rating given below is only for the service and customer care part of the deal and not for the content of the programmes.

Service is average.But there is cheating by the provider. All of sudden they raised the monthly package charges. The consumers have no option but to pay because they cannot change the service provider as change of service provider will give additional charges of installation of New Set Up Box.The company as per package (i) is providing some of HD Channels free on first month. They have not mentioned on their website that these are free for initial month and next month when you will recharge than you have to pay extra amount. We wrote to amend/mention this on their website but nothing from their side. (ii)Minimum package is also made in this way that there are number of channels which is useless for us.Since we are living in Haryana we do not know Gujrati, Malyalam, Kannar and other languages but pack consists of these channels and we have no option to say that these channels be disconnected from our package and charges be reduced or other channels be provided in lieu of those.

Service is okay. But we have to pay even when we are away for longer periods. They allow only a suspension of just 15 days which is ridiculous.

It is not important how good services you are providing but it is important that what you are providing is fair and true for your customers. making people fool by offering waste is practice of almost all D2h. same is Videocon D2h.

The service is not upto the mark the call centre employees not having adequate knowledge and not guiding properly. The unwanted channels are imposed and opting for lacarte is not easy the package available are not value for money . They are looting the clients. TRA should look into it.
