Vijayawada Municipal Corporation

It is better not to talk about maintenance of roads, removal of waste,etc. After completing work, balance material will be left on the road itself. Side drains are open and residents and shop keepers throw waste into side drains and choke the drains and drain water flows on roads. The Municipal Administration must respond positively for reports about condition of roads and cleaning. Two days back EENADU telugu vijayawada published 8 photos of over flowing drains and drains occupied by people. Did the Commissioner or Mayor observed the pictures and any action taken to correct the situation? Why the Municipal Commissioner prefers side open drains instead of closed side drains, which is a major cause for mosquito breeding?

After nearly one year of my earlier post,because of Krishna Pushkaram the Vijayawada city has become more clean. However, the Mayor, corporators and Commissioner are more worried about themselves. Even today there are photos in EENADU-AMARAVATHI about pathetic condition of sanitation and some responses by municipal authorities. Recently Vijayawada Municipal Corporation got awards and I think the Committee was shown areas which are maintained neatly such as CM's camp office area, Bandar Road,etc. The Committee Members must introspect and next time they themselves visit as many places as possible without the help of VMC.

Must improve and feel responsible..
