My wife and I have three Vodafone (Kolkata) connections, 2 post paid one prepaid. Personally I did not face any problem. Presently we are in USA visiting my Son and his family, we come each year with International roaming activated, mainly to get OTP from my net banking accounts to pay our services and credit card bills online.
We came on 16th December 2016, till 4th of January 2017 both our phones were working fine, then from 5th of January, my wife's SIM did not pick up any signal from any network here.
We tried switching our SIM cards wit our handsets, my SIM worked fine in my wife's handset but her SIM did not work in my hand set too.
So we were sure that the culprit was my wife's Vodafone SIM Card. We lodged 6 complaints, had a live chat with customer care always getting assurance that the problem will be rectified within 48 hours. Nothing happened. I escalated the complain to Nodal Officer Kolkata, got same assurance and a number of silly question like our address in USA! But nothing happened till today 22nd January 2017! But they are charging us for International Roaming every month! I am thinking of taking the matter to consumer court after I go back.

I am a resident of Kolkta. My wife and I bothe have Vodafone postpaid connections. We come to USA every year with International Roaming activated since we need OTP for online banking to pay our service and creditcard bills online during our stay in USA.
This year we came on 16th of December 2016 and will be back on 6th March 2017. THough my Vodafone connection is working fine my wife's SIM packed up on 5th of January 2017 making it impossible to do use her net banking. I complained to Vodafone logging into "My Vodafone" account of my wife, they asked to check the handset. I tried her SIM in my phone it did not work, but my SIM in her hand set worked fine, proving her Vodafone SIM was the culprit.
I agin made repeated complains, and also over live chat. Nothing happened. Then I escalated the complain to Kolkata Nodal Officer of Vodafone through email got a response it will be rectified within 2-3 days. Nothing happened and they went on billing her for International Roaming charges. Ultimately I deactivated it logging into her Vodafone account.
We are thinking of moving over to Airtel by porting the same number.
