Bank staff of 'Bank of India' refused to accept our application addressed to the Bank manager. The application was regarding a penalty of Rs. 295 levied by the Bank, over a bouncing of a dividend cheque of value Rs. 240/. The reason given for refusal to accept the application was that 'Manager was not available'.
We consider this a willful deficiency of service and a clear message that : 'we don't care for the customers'.
If ours is a mistake that calls for a penalty, and invited such a disproportionate penalty from the Bank, our service provider, what is the penalty that we can levy on the Bank - a giant government organization?
