Dear Sir/Madam,
We thank Ministry of Human Resources Development for working diligently to improve quality of education in India.
OCI card holders are facing some challenges while studying in India.
1. In Indian Institute of Technology(IITs') some seats are reserved for foreign citizens, whereas OCI card holders are not eligible for these seats.
2. OCI card holders can not use Join Entrance Examination (JEE) mains score to get into National Institute of Technology (NIT). Whereas Indian citizens can use JEE mains score to get into NIT.
Kindly direct respective departments to address this issue.
Thank you
