Choosing the Seat While Reserving Railway Journey Ticket

Even in Long Distance Bus Reservation , one is able to select preferred seat, but in Railways this facility is denied even if one books reservation Ticket even on the First Day of opening; the present System of allotting seat , starting from Seat no 1, or near the Entrance is most most inconvenient place for passengers who wish seats somewhere in the Middle portion of the Compartment.
Will the Ministry of Railways and Concerned Department look into this Malady in Passenger Reservation Software.
