The decision to scrap diesel cars which are more than 10 years old & have valid PUC despite having been registered for 15 years & having paid Road tax for full 15 years is grossly unjust to such owners . These days diesel car engines have life of 3 lac kilometres .
2. If the government still decides to go ahead & scrap such cars it must compensate its owners by paying them at least 33.33% of the cost at which it was bought from the showroom 10 years ago. This compensation is for the unutilised 5 years of life of the car .

Pollution also is to be set in terms of other Diesel run Vehicles allowed in the Country .
Lapse in enforcement of these 3 issues only has resulted in such option by Governments proposing reduction of Permissible Life Span . Many owners maintain the Vehicle in perfect condition and in fact , such Vehicle possess its best usable Life Span . Maintenance and utilization only judge the Capability of Sustaining Road Safety Controls of the Vehicle.
Those Vehicles frequently met with accidents may not sustain this Capability and all shall not be tied with such law .
It is to be the duty of Break Inspecting Authorities to disqualify a Vehicle in within its Life Time ans this practice only is the justified method .
Customer/Consumer is not to sustain with such punishments and monitory losses . This petition stands good for consideration of keeping the original Terms of Purchase as it is subjecting only to the Inspection Report of the Road Transport Authorities . Otherwise, justice is only to compensate with the amount of monitory loss to the Citizen and even this, cannot enable him to purchase even a 2nd hand old Vehicle of Petrol/Gas . more
