GEN - EWS Category 10% Reservations
When I approached local Tehsildar Office at Borivali-Mumbai I came to know that it is not for all and its a gimmick (mis-guided) open category students.
First of all they ask you to produce a proof saying that you are staying here from 1967 then what about those people who have migrated from other states to Mumbai from 25 to 30 years.
Secondly it is only for selected cast and not for all Hindus.
This type of gimmick was not expected from shree Modiji
they have played with the sentiments of general category students of the states.
Need clarity on this from Modiji and Education minister of India as well as Maharashra as this year students of GEN-EWS category will not be able to take benefit of this for admission to the governments premier institutes like NIT or IITS
