Help for Immediate Relief for Helpless Aircel Subscribers

Subscribers of Aircel Ltd have been left helpless as the company is unable to provide them even the bare minimum level of services. Subscribers who have been using their Aircel number as registered mobile number for bank accounts, Aadhaar, mutual funds etc are facing great difficulty because of this. They neither get transaction alerts nor the OTP to complete the transactions.

The company is neither resolving the problem nor facilitating the subscribers to port out their numbers. Only thing what they are doing is just providing a ticket number. Escalation at multiple levels has proved futile.

Bringing the matter to the notice of TRAI and DOT through twitter messages, has not resulted in any visible relief to subscribers.

Kindly ensure that all concerned take actions to bring relief to millions of helpless subscribers in a time bound manner.

As the company is unable to provide porting codes to subscribers, it must be seriously considered to allow porting without UPC for those who have already linked their aadhaar with their Aircel number. New TSP will anyway be given to the same subscriber after biometric verification, so chances of misuse are ruled out.
