High Rate for Food and Water at Airports
On the one hand, we wish to save mother earth with Ban on plastic single-use water bottles, but the Airport authorities in the name of security stop us from carrying water and we buy lakhs of plastic bottles at the airport paying high rates, this is dangerous. the airport also has a strange water tap which is not consumer-friendly, why not have simple water purifies with hot and cold water flowing, we can carry steel flask and fill it and use it and stop buying plastic bottles and contribute to saving the earth.
Are the airport guys worried about losing money from doing this?

The Airport Authorities, or whomsoever is authorised, must make supply of Drinking Water compulsorily available by way of installing Water Purifiers, and on condition that their maintenance and upkeep is done strictly by the brand manufacturer ONLY. This should be monitored through random checks done, by some people's forum, without the need for prior appointments to carry out such random checks, with the support of ON DUTY Security Personnel at the time of such random check.
Advance appointment allows room for manipulation as the maintenance could be very well done ONLY at times prior to the check, giving the picture that "ALL IS WELL".
May be not allowing carrying of a 'Steel Flask' on board the aircraft is due to security measures, and also because provision of drinking water is available on board, in-flight. more
