As per Bank's own confession, in writing, due to ERROR in its System, Bank of Baroda was charging EXCESS Interest on the Overdraft facility availed against Fixed Deposits but even after making it available my detailed working sheets of Interest calculations, the bank is not prepared to share and make available the Interest working sheets to be generated from the System. Even the Office of Banking Ombudsman, Reserve Bank of India has failed to direct the bank to Reverse the Full amount of Excess interest charged and make available the Interest calculation sheets to me. The matter has been hanging since 03-04-2024 and still unresolved. Every customer of each bank, not only BOB must be Vigilant, Careful to check such and similar workings to take up the matter with bank(s) if find any Excess and before Banking Ombudsman, if required.
