My suggestion on revised traffic challan amount.

      Unable to understand what sadistic pleasure is derived by authorities to harass common men who are compelled to stand in long Queues for PUC at PUC centres as happened at the time of demonetization also. Many vehicle owners did never get PUC done in several years. Existing PUC holders should have been allowed grace time of one month to reduce the pressure on PUC centres. If the cost of lost man hours is calculated it will weigh more as the pollution level can not go down suddenly. The Govt should immediately allow grace period of one month to existing pollution certificate holders whose PUC has expired or going to expire in Sept 2019. Side by side more PUC centres should be opened immediately on war footing.
      Secondly, a plea was taken that large number of people die every year in road accidents. A data base of death caused in road accidents post implementation of new traffic rules should be prepared to see the effect of harsh penalties imposed in new traffic rules. On the basis of these data a review of challan charges should be made to reduce them. more

      feel first fifteen days should have been used for familiarization to the public about the new laws with the instructions to complete all the documents during this period. After that implementation should have started.
      Secondly, traffic police should stop the vehicle if there is violation of traffic rules line no helmet, seat belt, red light jumping etc. by the owner. Vehicles should not be stopped only to check the vehicle papers.

      Lastly, as seen from various video being shared on social media platforms, traffic police has no business to slap the vehicle owner. Instead they should politely ask the vehicle owner to show the papers and if papers are not complete then issue challan. In any circumstances, they do not have the right to manhandle the vehicle owners or thumping the bonnet of the car with batton etc. They should not consider themselves above law. They should have human face. more
