We all know the way Ola and Uber have come into cab aggregator business by providing low cost rides. Slowly and consistently their charges have been increased. Now the competitors and conventional taxis are wiped out and they are becoming monopoly. Rates for the rides are fixed arbitrarily based on their own system. Earlier the call taxis had some distance and time logic for the charges. But now in Ola and Uber we don't understand the logic of the rates. Government and Competition commission of India should intervene and do the needful for reducing their monopoly and bring in Logic or system for fixing the ride rates. Other side Drivers refuse to come and pick up, they cancel the rides etc. Driver strike work saying their earnings have reduced and Ola and Uber are taking commission of 20~25 from the fares. This is very huge margins for the volume of business done. This commission taken by Ola and Uber should be restricted to reasonable amount based on their expenses and excess profiteering should be avoided.
