Pharmaceutical companies in India, like Cipla, produce substandard prescription drugs and use doctors to peddle these drugs to their patients. The doctors receive a payoff from such pharmaceutical companies for peddling their substandard drugs. The innocent patients take such drugs because they trust their doctors. Then, a patient dies and the Court finds the doctors guilty; however, why not those pharmaceutical companies that produced substandard drugs? How can we, Bharat, be surakshat when we are so corrupt? I urge you to kindly audit drug manufacturing in India, preferably an unannounced audit to avoid any cover-ups. A person lost his wife because a doctor prescribed cancer medication for a shoulder injury. The question is why did a orthopedic practitioner prescribe cancer medication to a patient without cancer?
