Pension after retirement to start within 3 months of retirement

A person who retires should get his pension starting within 3 months from the date of retirement. It should be the duty of the responsible staff in the EPF office to ensure that all documentation and file works are completed within this period. A monthly report should be prepared in the departments as to the new Pension cases generated, and a progress report should be maintained to keep track of the cases. Any pension case not sorted out within 3 months, the concerned persons must be taken to task to find out why the cases could not be closed.It is difficult for a retired person to keep making visits to EPF office.
