During community mobilization for formation of SHG’s the women groups we tried to adopt basic key criteria like selection of BPL families, low income families, and more preferably women headed families. Subsequent to formation of SHGs we conducted an orientation on importance of economy and credit system, objectives of SHGs , roles and responsibilities of members in managing and running the groups. In the mean time it has motivated them to save small amount and provide them appropriate loan facilities. The regular meetings were carried out to review the performance of the SHGs and at the second stage introduced the groups to the Bank accounts and legally linked to the Banks. It had provided the trainings on how to maintain the books of records as well as the roles and responsibilities of each SHG member in preserving the economic transparency
