ICC Cricket world cup or ICC Cricket Commonwealth Cup….Propaganda Negated.
Read on………….
ICC Full members-12 Countries ( Commonwealth countries-10 & Non-Commonwealth countries-2)
ICC Associate Members- 93 countries….2 countries Bahamas and Suriname are part of West Indies.
Total ICC members-105 countries…..2 countries Bahamas and Suriname are part of West Indies.
All full member 12 countries have played in the 12 finals (1975 onwards) at-least once.
Out of 93 associate members, Only 3 non-commonwealth countries (Netherlands, Scotland & UAE) and 4 commonwealth countries (Bermuda, Canada, Kenya, Namibia) have played in the finals.
In total, 14 commonwealth countries and 5 non-commonwealth countries have so far played in the finals.
Kenya was part of East Africa when it played in 1975 finals.
There are 76 commonwealth countries, out of which 31 countries do not play cricket. Out of the balance 45 countries, 22 countries (Islands) constitute the West Indies. We can deduce that only 24 commonwealth countries are playing cricket.
There are 195 countries in the world. Although there are 93 associate members in the ICC, countries in the Americas (Except Canada and West Indies Islands), most countries in Europe, Africa and Asia are not playing cricket or if at all playing, play for entertainment only, no serious cricket.
It is clear now, in-spite of so much propaganda for so many years since it started officially on 15th June 1909 and making cricket fans and lovers to believe that cricket is a world game, ICC cricket world cup is actually a ICC cricket commonwealth cup.
CRICKET IS A COMMONWEALTH GAME AND NOT WORLD GAME
