I have read from many about the harassment from telecom providers like Tata Teleservices. If you ask for disconnection of services from a said date, they charge for at least the next 2 months. I had issue with cancelling NETFLIX service, it is not allowed e to cancel the services and paid almost three months and finally cancelled my credit card to stop payment. UNDERSTAND THAT AUTO DEBIT CANNOT BE STOPPED BY THE CONSUMER UNLESS SERVICE PROVIDER GIVES NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE.
Service provider can stop service and they loose nothing. Hence the best is cancel the credit card or cancel old BANK ACCOUNT and OPEN NEW ACCOUNT in the ANY BANK to avoid payment to the service you never wish to utilise. more

I have issue with TATSKY: I had issue with my STB box in OCT 2018. After couple of complaints & visit by the technician they told me change the box and Oct 27th I have paid Rs 800/- for the same. Again on 25th Dec 2018 I had some problem with Video not seen but Audio could be heard... the technician came after an hour he told that some problem with STB box and say since it is under warranty (He confirmed after calling someone) he says he will change the STB box and removed the box & took back with him along with remote promising to replace in a day or 2. he gave and asked me to call one service center number (81242 84042 & 70106 37833) to contact for any further issues. Even after 5 days nothing was happening and no calls or any updates. When I called up the service center number they simply said shortage of box & will replace after receiving one from HO. Even after complaining to the Customer care they simply said the issue would resolved within 24 hours. On 2nd Jan the technician came with new set top box and did the connections and the picture was clear. He called someone & without any alert he started removing the box repacked it and said that he need to take back to his office to tune it up and left the place. I called up the service station & customer care to find out what happened? They simply said will replace once we set the stop box. with repeated calls to bot customer care & Service Center finally some other technician came and fix the box & also please note that all these 11 days we were not viewing any program. So I thought all misery were over, I started to get SMS s saying that I have to pay RS 873.79 immediately. When I contacted the service center they told that I have no warranty and when I asked them about the payment for my STB box in Oct they said no details on that. & when contacted the customer care they took that as complaint and say would resolve in 24 hrs. Bu to my dismay someone for TAT Sky called up and argue that I have to pay for the STB box as their record show that there is no warranty and only for the New box there is warranty till 4th Jan 2020. He was quite rough and raise the tone and to make the payment immediately. I refuse and asked for my Oct payment for my STB box ( I have even received a Invoice for Oct in November by mail for my payment) he went silent few moments and the call got disconnected. After that I received a SMS the Complaint( with regards to the payments) is resolved (I have got all the screenshots of the complaints to customer Care & resolved messages without resolving the issues) . So again I was relaxed thought all is resolved. After seeing the complaint in this forum about TATA Services , I went to my TATASKY App and found that the amount Rs 873.79 is pending payment. As I have paid my subscription on yearly basis I think they would squeeze out the payment from the annual subscriptions and in Aug or Sept I may find the issue wil be back in different format . There is no other form to make Complaint about their mischievous act of swindling their esteem customers and we have the option of only calling the Cusomer care to make the Complaint and will receive SMS after 24 hours or so that it is resolved without resolving it. What a Pathetic behavior of such reputed Company of TAAT SKY which is unprofessional and unethical practice. more

Send your complain to the customer care and to the chairman of tata teleservices at Bombay House Mumbai more

Could you please, share the Contact details of the Chairman of Tata Teleservices for bringing to his Notice some of the callous attitudes of the Tata DTH and Their Mobile Services? Else, we are left with no other option but to Contact Shri Ratan Tata ji. Thanks and Regards. more

I had a similar issue with Tata teleservices some years back. Got resolved only after I visited their office and insisted on being provided all the information regarding cancellation request and charges levied post that. If you have the documentation available with you in any form, they have no choice but to get in line with you.

So go to the office, speak to the concerned manager, who generally tends to be more civil than the executives or call center support and get this issue resolved. more

Dear Srijan, can i have a copy of petition and the proof about the same? Reaon being, i am filing a PIL in this regard in SC for false billing, dictatorship, silence of DOT/TRAI in such matters, discrimination in the form of prepaid/postpaid, hidden telephonic plans etc. your help is required. more

I’m for such moves as this one to protect consumer interests. There are quite a few service providers behaving as if we are at their mercy. Regulatory bodies need to be reminded that consumer is watchful. more
