Many countries around the world are seeing a surge in COVID cases led by Omicron mutations like BA.2.12.1 and lately BA.4 and BA.5 (which also have the Delta spike protein). India has opened all commercial international flights from March 27th and passengers do not undertake any mandatory testing on arrival in India. Given the rising risk, should this approach be changed?
