GM's tour is not a joke. MAZAK NAHI HAI. There is old tradition of treating GMs as the kings of their respective railways. They (GMs) are not bother about the expenses made during their inspection visits. Gm office sanctions huge funds for the GM visit without any queries & afterwards bills of foods as well as expenses made for furniture (like Bed, Sofas, Chairs, etc.) right from GM Coach to rest house suits are submitted by DRM office or XEN offices get approved without any audit or like that. To stop the waste of public money and improve the facilities to railway passengers, there is a need to handover the audit of all expenses to the (CAG) Comptroller and Auditor General of India. more
High Level, High Expenses !!! Not To worry. The Rly. Officers who are taking cut from each order unofficially may have spent for the expenses. see the Photo. more
I request the local circles Manager in charge of railway issues to take up the matter with Vigilance authorities of Railway Head Quarters. Even otherwise, I think the expenses will fail the audit test and will be placed for recovery. However, all news reports especially in vernacular/ regional language press can be sensationalism. more
The Railway minister should order recovery from her salary. Moreover SOP should be laid down how many persons can go along with visiting officer, how much per head per day food cost is permitted (which shudnt be since they get TA DA), what kind of vehicle is to be hired. If there are more than 5 then matador should be hired instead of five separate cars. People must share vehicle . These regulations can be laid down in B&W by the rail ministry. more
Without knowing the issue raised by Mr. Tiru Narayan with IT Dept. , it is difficult to appreciate his views about the IT Dept. which is lately friendly to Income Tax payers. Mr Ajay Kumar post “Railway Gen. Manager Archana Joshi: Breakfast worth Rs. 45,000/-, After 2 Hours consumed food worth Rs.57,000/-.” regarding a Railway Lady GM is an eye opener, if what all has been reported is true; especially in P.M. Modi era. Authorities concerned may be taking action against the post. Let the matter be fully investigated and reported in press for the benefit of all. more
