Mr. R. N. Stephen says, "Don't sensationalize"?! सब चलता है क्या? The lady died! more
Amit Ji, Dipak Ji...don't sensationalize the issue please. Though my condolence and heartfelt sympathy for the lady who lost her life and at a time when she was with her children taking them for a vacation there are however gaps in the news in Times which says that when she got out of the rickshaw which stopped besides a puddle, the lady Ms.Ahuja wanted to avoid stepping into the mud water so she reached out to take support of a pole which had loose wires which were live and touching the inside of the pole. The moment she touched it she got electrocuted. Street Lights have 430V currents against 230V A.C. we get in our homes, so the severity of the shock would be much higher. It is also possible that there could have been current leaking into the water as the lady was screaming to make her children get away from the water. Electricity Department must be made accountable for this mishap and top managers of CPWD should be suspended without pay for a week. more
