Corruption in School Admissions: Inputs on Issues
Corruption in school admissions under the name of cash donations or flat out bribery is a practice that we frequently hear about. We also hear about local government officials and politicians charging parents hefty sums and then pressurizing good schools or conducting even extortion to admit them. Many parents have no option but to yield because nothing matters when it comes to getting their child admitted to a good school.
With this post we would like to seek your inputs on the various ways bribery is taking place in school admissions in India.

Most of the political leader are in this business right from schools to Professional colleges.No body can touch them these towering personalities.Since they can fight to any extent to carry on commercialization of education business. more

Please note, all the schools are being run by NGO/Societies/NPO in India and therefore, these institutions can not earn profits and therefore, the management/trustees can not take anything from this venture. Consequently, they keep trying find out ways and means of taking money from parents and children, which do not form part of records. Also, they take out money by putting bogus bills/inflated salary bills of teachers and employees. This is completely a grey area, left open by the government for reasons, best known to them. Why any one do business of education, if one is not permitted to earn profits. Is it a pure charity ? more

printing of chapters not included in the syllabus is not only financial burden for the parents, physical burden and confusion to the students and well asburden as on the nature as more trees are cut to meet the paper requirement. How disastrous it can be, can be gauged from the reports giving some of the reasons for various floods plus the wastes it creates. Only the right quantity ( purchase theory) of chapters need to be included in the books. more
