In Mumbai there are many places where garbage is not removed for days together. Also many a drains have floating garbage, this gives a shabby look.Roads and Footpaths are not swept regularly, which also gives a shabby look.Although work is being done but still there is lot of scope for improvement.Municipal officers must come out of ivory towers to the field and see themselves and plan for improvements. more
As I have said earlier, DUNDLOD is a village Panchayat and not a Municipality, hence NO FUNDS from Government. Our NGO, Dundlod Nagrik Parishad has started a campaign to clean up the village, no support from local administration of district Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan. more
Garbage pickups is mostly done during day time which causes traffic jam (Lucknow City). Dumping area never cleaned during pickups. left over garbage lie on road causing nuisance for traffic and give bad smell. It is suggested that pickups should be done in night. more
Personal cleanliness has nothing to do with Swatch Bharat. The cess collected should have been used properly instead on advertising and other unrelated activities. more
