Sep 7 Suggestion Advantage Saving Automate chart display in trains by providing digital display and update directly from system – start with shatabdi and extent to other trains It will reduce chart preparation time – (from 4 hours ?? To 1 hour) 1)Eliminates manually pasting the chart – saves manpower 2)Reduces seat / berth going unoccupied Reduce subsidy or make it NIL for Senior citizen subsidy for 1st AC Higher the class reduce the subsidy % Subsidy amount saved and can be provided for other classes Provide an option to decline subsidy Whoever not requiring subsidy can opt for it Subsidy amount saved Make a provision to mark corporate booking – if yes, don’t provide subsidy For corporate booking we need not provide subsidy – for spend any way they will get IT benefit more
I agree with Mr Rajendra Pratap that our Railways needs definite improvement. But how will you achieve it?. It is a difficult job but possible. Few suggestions for improvement:- 1. Safety Measure - No compromise on safety so as to avoid accidents. 2. Security of Passengers - RPF, TTE & Train staff to be made accountable. Do not increase RPF strength. No one should be seen in the couches. CCTV must be fitted in each coach which should be monitored by RPF from a control room. Say each RPF person should be assigned five coaches. Cut his pay by 10% in any incident occured and unattended. 3. Cleanliness - Keep dust bin adequately. Watch for defaulter on CCTV and punish them by say Rs 100/- fine for throwing garbage, spitting etc. 4. Hygiene of eatable - Allow only quality food. Railways must take on the proj by outsourcing to credible vendors. 5. Passenger Comforts - Passenger should be treated like guest. All railway staff should treat them like employer. Complaints from the passenger against railway staff dealt with severely particularly for corruption. 6. Disciplined Railway Staff. Arrange uniform for all railway employees. Abolish free tickets for them. May 50% concession allowed. 7. Puntuality - Train puntuality must be the responsibility of all railway staff. Cut 10% salary of Trains Staff and 10% of station staff for late running of trains. If you succeed in implementing the above points ruthlessly, the railways will definitely improve. more
I travelled in first class local train from Ghatkoper to Thane at about 7 PM .The rush to board train at Thane was terafic . I fall down I was hardly saved . I travelled for the first time in local train .I will never travel in future . I appeal to railway high ups .Please give protection to passengers by deputies force in compartments of local trains so that passengers who travel in local trains may get down safely . more
