It does not make much of a difference whether Delhi is run by President/ LG or by BJP Govt. The reason is quite evident from decision to increase Circle rates in Delhi or postponement of Delhi elections by LG as per the sweet will of BJP high command.
Be prepared for another glaring example of how BJP is still ruling Delhi by proxy. BJP is now planning to get 902 unauthorized colonies on Govt. land regularised without demanding any Land cost and development charges from the residents of these colonies. BJP wants that the clause that said that the colonies will be regularised only after they pay the charge should be dropped. BJP legislators are eyeing unauthorised colonies as a potential vote bank with fresh elections in Delhi emerging as a big possibility.
Now let us see whether Hon'ble LG have courage to leave the matter for the new and legitimately elected Govt. or oblige the Central Govt again. more

Now the result is open. On one hand, people say that huge gains to BJP is because of anti-incumbency. Sure, the failure of Congress and allies are the direct gains to BJP. But with the latest results and surprising strength of BJP; people are giving up understanding the actual reasons. Of course, there was not a single simple reason, but many. Anna movement already started demolishing Congress and allies. Public wanted to move away and BJP became their easiest choice. My question is: Are the voter's in Delhi so naive to chose the easiest? OR Will Delhi show its own identity again? more

Why increase the circle rates evenly. Every body knows that a bigger plot with a good commercial location is always targeted & bought by the builder mafia, the smaller pieces are generally bought by the middle class for their meagre needs. Why not increase the stamp duty on bigger plots with commercial value & spare the middle class which is already realing under price rise inflation & what not. In my opinion this is another attempt to squeeze the middle class & spare the big fish. more
