Answer to everything is we. When I say, we, I am acutely aware of the fact that culture can not be cultivated over night. It takes time. In Singapore if you have a chocolate wrapper you do not throw it on the road. You keep it with you and find a dustbin and then throw. That is self discipline and fear of law and fine. It must come here as well. Either the colonies or the government or the respective corporations should provide the dustbins and there has to be a mechanism of its removal and subsequent disposal on regular basis. It may cost us a bit but then for a healthy and a clean environment I am sure most will agree to pay in Gurgaon. Urinating on the road is a habit. Yes it will take time and make sure the local authorities are asked to provide the urinals. Money and time and the desire to improve will bring this change. Give your best and start educating people. Will the corporates will answer this call? under corporate social responsibility. more

When one is on a mission he does not look here and there and take it as his moral duty to do as best as he can. If every body follows this principle, all the right things shall fall in its place . So let us start with our actions and try our best to remedy the deficiencies on account of others. more

Appreciate your concern Raman, but I have seen even if there are dustbin, people doesn't use it, they throw the waste near a dustbin but not in it... If they do not want to use it at least they can use their brains, they can always carry an extra bag so that they can use it for their waste like cold drink bottles, chips wrapper etc or they can fold the chips wrapper and put that in their pocket and throw it in the domestic dustbin in their house. I ALWAYS DO IT if I do not find a dustbin in market. Why can't shopkeepers put dustbin in the market area?? If they can use a footpath for their boards or other publicity material. I have seen people peeing outside of the urinals. Don't you think they should go inside and then pee. Why we expect everything to be done by the Govt. more
