Mr. Gopinathan is absolutely right but will railway authorities listen to him and implement? DINESH MATHUR more
Mr. Gopinathan, True, railways should try to give better service, i am sure indian travellers may not hesitate to pay the RIGHT price for a RIGHT service. Hope the time is not very far.      Regardse K.Arthanareeswaran Asst. People now a days have a general feeling that even if you complain nothing will happen to the system.Things will not change on the ground. only person giving the complaint will be harrassed. It is important for removing this impression from peoples mind . For example people along with media complained about not able to book tatkal tickets attributed to some scamf some scam. Then railways changed the tatkal starting time from 8.00am to 10.00 AM. The result is even If you goto the counter the seats gets filled up before 5 to 6 persons reaching the window. where as if you wish to book online the site itself will not open till 12.00noon.If opens after12.00 noon we can onlysee waiting List. Why agents are able to book Tatkal tickets where as citizens are unable to even open the site. This needs thourogh investigation for proper remidy. more
Yes Mr. Durga Prasad, you are Right, as 1) I also experienced many times that Train Superintendent are "NOT AVAILABLE ON BOARD" when asked to TTE, reply is that he is available with Guard Room, However 2) Complain redressal should be transparent to Public, and there must be deadline / Time limit ... 3) corruption also visible, on luggage booking and goods train, wreck booking....and surprisingly the railways Department have it`s own Vigilance group, but no use, hence submission to Honourable Minister to close such Department and save Public Money... more
i agree that online reservation for tatkal system is not slow but it is manipulated by the concerned staff to accommodate their own people/agents The system suddenly is disrupted at any stage of booking/bank transaction etc., ultimately ending with disappointment to deserving passengers. I am astonished how railways encourage hired people to stay overnight in the queues and lot of fights only to endup with slow system/failures at 10 A.M. sharp until all the tickets over.
