20000 per hectare was the bribe rate for re-survey of land
Gujarat ACB traps District Inspect of Land Record. I suggest district inspector of land records across India must be investigated in a special drive and 90% plus would be corrupt. Also this way the whole chain including all who they share the booty with will also be nabbed. Everyone support me in demanding this by commenting on this post. Share your experience/views
Gujarat Police has nabbed a District Inspector Land Record (DILR) working in DILR Jamin Daftar office in Botad in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs. one lakh. Accused Sanjay Ravaliya is a class-2 staffer.
According to ACB, a complainant in this case wanted re-survey of his land, for which the accused Inspector (Nirikshak) demanded bribe of Rs. 40,000 per hectare. After some bargaining, the final sum of the bribe was settled at Rs. 20,000 per hectare. The accused demanded Rs. 2 lakh for 10 hectares of land for its resurvey and measurement from the complainant.

in 1989 Brig.J.S.Ahuja, Col.B.K. Singh and I wrote a research paper Unique Property Numbering - based on the tenth decimal point of graticules -which produced a number that could never be replicated by anyone at anytime...and ensured property security. Then we tried to persuade the municipal commissioner - very honest officer - to deliberate on it and implement it- but could not....and understood the strong resistance to fool proof methods that would effectively curb corruption. what is the use of research if the results could not be applied.

every govt dept wherever interaction with public is involved is having only corrupt people.that is the reason these people join those depts and for joining there they shell out money and now once they are there they have to recover the amount they have paid to come there.It is a standard everywhere in india. Even the MLAs or Ministers do not like honest officials and getposted all corrupt ones having fine tuning with them in their respective areas. This is happening throughout India. CM obliges every MLA as its a team work.

Not only Land Inspector but all departments, like tehsil, Mining, police, Social Welare, Tansport, Electricity, PWD, GST police, Courts, Health, Civic Bodies. You will find large heaps on filth in every institution. This is the reason that India is still one of the most corrupt countries in the world.

This is the new model of corruption free governance claimed by centre Govt., of course there is a change, asking rates have gone through the roof, what you could get done in rs 100,today the going rates are in thousands
