India will loose a lot of jobs in the coming 6 months as companies cut costs to survive. We as a group must discusss what all actions should Govt of India take? Summary of UN Report below.

The COVID-19 pandemic will significantly increase global unemployment, leaving up to 25 million more people out of work, and will dramatically slash workers' incomes, the United Nations said on Wednesday, 18 March.

In a fresh study, the International Labour Organization warned that the economic and labour crisis sparked by the spread of the new coronavirus, which has now killed more than 8,000 people worldwide, will have "far-reaching impacts on labour market outcomes".

Hi Naina, One small comment... Your subject line states, "25 million to loose jobs ..." It should say "Lose Jobs" not "Loose Jobs". Regards, Suresh On Thu, Mar 19, 2020 at 7:46 AM Naina Mittal wrote: > more
I agree with Mr. Bhuvnesh Thakar. I am looking for people to work in my company but even the unemployed youth are not interested. more
I disagree with the notion that it is likely to be a labour crisis. Yes, even today, Labour is not available. Everybody wants a govt. job and no one wants to work in private company. I have seen many youngsters who are unemployed but are not willing to work in private companies and are looking for Govt. job only. And their parents support them How stupid. I have seen many many signs with manpower wanted at many places. and every one cries about unemployment. more
It should read '25 million to LOSE jobs - UN'; NOT '25 million to loose jobs - UN'. more
