3 months of PCR amendment

A Voting is being conducted for “3 months of PCR amendment”, and I have NOT read those amendments, so cannot comment about the same.

However….! The description thereafter appears to be funny.

My experience was that, a 330ml can of Coke is being sold on airports, flights, multiplexes, etc with MRP of Rs 100, whereas a 300ml can of Coke gets sold in roadside shops at it’s MRP of Rs 30. Fine.

But I had also found that in some airline flights, cans of 300ml Coke, without any MRP printed, are being sold at Rs 100, when it’s actual MRP is Rs 30, which is NOT displayed.

This could also happen either at the airport or in multiplexes, because the regular visitor is aware of the fact that the Coke can is available there is for Rs 100 in general, and most of the consumers do NOT check the quantity.

Such Duel pricing may be allowed, only if there is a marked difference in the packaging.

For example, if the 300ml Coke can with MRP of Rs 30, is of cylindrical shape, having Red coloured printing all over, then the 300ml Coke can with MRP of Rs 100, should either have a different shape, or different colour, or both. It should NOT be both, Red coloured AND cylindrical.

Only then, such cheating shall get arrested. more

Yes, duel pricing may be allowed, only if there is a marked difference in the quality of the product. more
Now MRP is not displayed of they are at such place that one cannot find it or is in so small print that difficult to read. Although MRP should at such place that it can be read easily in bold letters more
MRP is sacrosanct. Organized purchasers like Airlines, Hotels, etc buy large numbers at a time and get better discounts than the roadside shops. Their internal costs in selling such products should be managed by them within the discounts. Their customers do not negotiate with them pricing of Air Tickets / specially prepared Foods or even common items like Breads, Cakes, etc. sold by them. If these organizations want to sell standard products, freely available in market, they have sell at MRP or less. It is strange that Court judges whose specialized knowledge is the Law of the Country are asked to opine in favour of allowing prices higher than MRP. It similar to a Judge rulling in favour of Speadbreakers on our poorly lit roads , which make driving extremely dangerous. more
MRP of any goods of same quality and quantity MUST be same throughout. Whether you sale it on Earth or Heaven. Food sold in Air and at Airports is always costly. Probably they know that 80 percent of travellers prefer Air Travel at the cost of some body else. more
By permitting extortionate pricing on domestic flights and in domestic airports the domestic clients are fleeced. It is time that the governments/authorities develop a regard for the domestic tourist or flyers using the flights and domestic airports out of necessity.
