300+ TsuNamo

If the exit polls come true, we as member of LocalCircles who have participated in various governance issues since 2014 must give a 100 day blue print to Modi ji.

This time the Govt must take bold actions in first 100 days and first year so results become evident by year 3 onwards.

Please share your ideas and hope localcircles would take them forward to NaMo. more

You can not expect Modi Govt to deal all the points at a time.It has to be prioritised.I think first task must be revamp of Judiciary system. All the case must come to its conclusive end by say maximum in 10 years.Second task must be to take time bound action on all those specially politicians who have earned ill gotten money over a period of time. This will repose people's faith in our present Govt who has promised to take action to a conclusive end before next 5 years. more
Clean up of environment and all bodies of corruption must be clear choice of priority in addition to reforms and economic development, which are highly expected from this Government more
Here are few top reforms which requires immediate launch: 1. Urgent transformation of Indian judiciary system: we all know that this ares is very slow moving and there was no big ticket reform yet launched in judiciary, large number of cases at all levels of judiciary are pending since many years even up to 10-20 years. Even if dates are provided then either it get shifted for next date or given very less time to have a thorough quality based judgement. There is little use of Technology based tools and applications, which may drastically improves productivity, efficiency and quality of justice delivery systems. So a massive transformation in Indian judiciary systems are required which enables time bound quality justice delivery to citizens of India. 2. Strengthening Consumers Support Systems: All most all Indian citizens are consumers also, and I remain getting feel of their sufferings either through this portal or through other channels where most of the time they sound helpless in dealing with their product or services related problem with vendors or contractor. Most of the time consumers are cheated or not supported properly when some problem happens with sold products and services provided. Existing customer complain redressal mechanism is not very effective and further consumer forums/courts are having same problems of delayed hearing and justice delivery. So with weak consumer care mechanism , vendors, suppliers, and service providers have their upper hands and true spirit of customer as king misses most of times as vendors, suppliers and service providers are not afraid about less stringent laws and law enforcing mechanism . So I believe, this area of consumer support systems is weak and consumers are required immediate empowering by better acts, legislation, governance and enforcement mechanism. So an urgent reform is required in this area. 3. Urgent Transformation of How Government works: At present, Government departments are structured to execute in reactive mode, and also people involvement is little at various level of decision making, it is designed as command and control type of organization. Present way of working of various Here are few top reforms which requires immediate launch: 1. Most of the time consumers are cheated or not supported properly when some problem happens with sold products and services provided. Existing customer complain redressal mechanism is not very effective and further consumer forums/courts are having same problems of delayed hearing and justice delivery as mentioned in point#1. So with weak consumer care mechanism , vendors, suppliers, E-commerce portals and service providers have their upper hands and true spirit of customer as king misses most of times as vendors, suppliers and service providers are not afraid about less stringent laws and law enforcing mechanism . So I believe, this area of consumer support systems is weak and consumers are required immediate empowering by better acts, legislation, governance and enforcement mechanism. So an urgent reform is required in this area which should also include E-Commerce portals. 3. Urgent Transformation of How Government works: At present, Government departments are structured to execute in reactive mode, and also people involvement is little at various level of decision making, it is designed as command and control type of organization. Present way of working of various Government departments mostly designed 60-70 years back. Since then lots of innovation and technological change has happened, but departments didn't evolve so fast. So present model of working of Govt departments aren't fit for delivering on expectations of people of next generation. Why people of India have to wait for years to get a road project or a sewer project get approved and executed after years and years of wait and persuasion. This kind of bottleneck should end immediately. 4. Instant Demand Transportation: Our railways and other transpiration systems are outdated. There is no provision of guaranteed instant on demand travel options to people. Trains are almost full, one has to taken bookings in well advance and 2nd most of the trains are not running on time, so a timely arrival on urgent works or meetings remains a grey area. So a massive transformation of Railways and other Transportation systems are required to make it available on demand , efficient, safe and punctual. 5. Taxing Systems: Income Tax and GST Systems needs major transformation. Entire concept of an assessing officer assessing income tax liabilities and issuing a notice for extra demand to citizens need to be changed. A new income source based taxation system need to be evolved which are automated based on fixed rules, so that scope of a human to decide income of individuals goes out. New System should also reduces harassment done to tax payers during course of interaction with IT Officials. In Present GST system, purchasers have no power to claim the input tax credit unless supplier / seller to pass the deducted GST as input tax credit. And in many cases, GST deductors are not even depositing deducted amount to the Government accounts. There is no effective mechanism to check and fix this. Even purchasers need to empower to claim input tax credit in on own when GST was deducted by the suppliers/sellers. 6. Deep routed corruption: Lets accept this fact that corruption is still deep routed in many Govt. departments, which includes central Govt. department, state Govt. departments, Autonomous Bodies/Authorities, Local Bodies. Corruption is done against some genuine works or contracts. This kind of corrupt culture and system need to be completely eradicated through stringent processes and technologies. 7. Compliance for startups and SMBs: This is a fact that startups and SMBs are also subjected to lots of government regulation, compliances, reporting at various levels of government including at banks. For small entities affording CA and CS and Accountants are too much burden. So compliance process should be waived off for small entities, and a small format of mandatory declaration should be introduced which can be filled and submitted on own by entrepreneurs. In past few years many startups and SME companies were striked off by ROC, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and many Directors were disqualified due to non compliance on reporting etc. An opportunity shall be given to such large number of entrepreneurs and stricked off companies to restart operation under new simplified regime. Its a loss to Indian Economy to shut down such a large number of startups and SME firms. And its unfortunate that disqualified directors are not allowed to conduct or start any other businesses by ROC. Hence this is required urgent attention of Govt. of India. 8. Revamping of Public Grievance Handling System: At present portals like https://pgportal.gov.in are used for registering various types of public grievances, however I have observed that grievance related tickets are closed by the concerned Government officials even without redressing the matter to full satisfaction of the petitioner. This kind of self ticket closure by Govt. Officials should be revamped, let complainant decide whether a ticket can be closed depending on his / her satisfaction. Further strict SLAs and KPIs to be included to track resolution status of all open tickets. 9. Raising Brand Value of Indian Passport Holders: Recently I went to US Embassy in New Delhi for getting US visa stamping for attending a conference in US. I was surprised that they (US) look Indian Passport holders with much suspicion that they event rejected my simple travel visa. So, as an Indian how we do feel about it. Our PM remains talking about enhanced image of Indians in foreign countries, but the fact is we are not allowed to take a travel for attending an International conference/seminar. Look at the power of British passport, British citizens can travel without visa in more than 200 countries, but we the Indians are restricted to travel to many countries. So if India has to emerge a super power, then its passport should have also strong brand power. I suggest ministry of external affairs to work on this agenda to allow Indian citizens and professionals to travel to around the World without any hindrance like visa rejection. 10. Massive Roll Out of Electric Vehicles and De -congestion of traffic movement : Many of Indian cities are struggling with pollution problems One immediate respite can be provided through rapid and massive roll out of electric vehicles and development of its charging ecosystem. These EVs should be used to replace petrol/diesel based vehicles to the maximum extent. One ore area which requires immediate attention is de-congestion of traffic on cities roads. Massive traffic jams are routing in Delhi and other Indian cities, which causes stress, productivity loss and pollution due to higher burning of fuel. So urgent attention to be given towards reduction of pollution and de-congestion of roads and traffics. more
All steps to control corruption, bring black money back, strict administration, decrease of subsidy on oil, gas etc. Curtailing of un-necessary benefits enjoyed by elected representatives. Quick action for disposal of court cases. Infrastructure developments. Law and order situation in WB. Inflitration should be stopped. more
few things here the result if it happens as per exit poll predictions means people are basically bothered and impressed by grassroot work -rotikapda makan. Literally Modi has been able to work relentlessly for that. All said its not easy anyway for any govn to move ahead without taking some concrete measures. The first is how to invigorate the infra structure and generate good quality jobs. This can only happen if govn releases the public sector lions uncages them and let them rise to be indian mnc .This requires basics identifying talents in psus increasing stake of senior executives in the company both in salary and perks at par with private and decision making relegated to them and immediate removal if not performer. Than the whole vortex of how many engineers doctors or any other professional of each type is required to run the system and so reduce the burgeoning colleges and encourage self employment and more focus on start ups. Bringing down tax further esp income tax and look holistacally the whole system, lets say we need to focus on long term like tertiary sectors like railways roadways, telephone communication etc need be in public domain too and partially subsidised to give impetus to all other sectors. more
