As a resident of Varanasi and someone who works with lowest class i must share that many people post digitalisation are losing money because no one has told them do’s and don’t and same applies to police.

RBI should work with LocalCircles and us members to understand where people falter. It will make digitally safe India. more

I use Paytm which is connected with my saving account. KYC to Paytm is through my bank account and I have Not Submitted a separate KYC to Paytm. I Do Not Keep Floating money in Saving account and keep my money safe as FD which can not be broken by Fraudsters. I have been using Debit Card and seldom use Credit Card, when payment is of higher order and I get a call from head office based in Chennai to confirm payment made by me. Never Share OTP is passe now but people are still doing it. There are tons of advantages of online payments, only if we are a bit careful about our money and do not blame cyber security/police for our own carelessness. Do We Keep Our Currency Out in the Open for Thieves to Steal from our Homes? more
Despite banks maintaining security checks, post digitalisation this is happening, as cyber fraud increasingly emanating from operating technology. Police pedantic and policing inadequate. Onus on victims mostly. more
I too have suffered in a fraud case last month where 55k was withdrawn fraudulently from my bank account. Despite complaining to the crime branch, Govt of India and local police station, no action has yet been taken. The Govt has since introduced on line payment but have not taken adequate measure to safe guard the interest of the common people and hence the cases are increasing. more
We need to very careful of the cyber fraud and since lot of people may not be aware needs education and it would be good if RBI initiates this either through webinar etc or contact programmes in capital cities especially for sr citizens who may not be net savvy more
It's a habbit for many people to immediately click the links Without thinking what they are. more
