when you are admitted to a super speciality hospital, you have no choice but to get the tests done there only, whatever the charges be. And these hospitals make full use of that. more

Go to any hospital and you are sure to be slapped with whatever pathological tests they can manage. The smart hospitals initially, to win your trust will act very ethically and moralistic, but once they can see that you are a repeat customer then culture, blood tests and what not will follow and as Mr Mohan mentions the charges of the in house labs are very much on the higher side. No doubt there is competition among the labs but quality too is suspect with lower charges. more

As for as private labs, are concerned,there is lot of competetion you can wisely choose,but when you have been admitted in hospital then the charges are almost double more
