44% families have someone who sought medical help for pollution ailments

Thanks to all in the circle who participated in the recent survey on impact of pollution in Delhi-NCR. Below is the link to the survey report:

44% families have someone who has sought medical help for pollution ailments in last 2 weeks

On the lockdown front, over half of you are not in favour of it. If you agree with the findings, do share them with all your local contacts, leaders, members of the judiciary so we get actions in the immediate and next year is better than this. We owe it to the vulnerable and our next generations.

If you have any additional inputs on the subject, do share! more

I Agree that if each one of us can enlighten even our immediate circle of friends family staff we can contribute something... However the government state and central both must impose some kind of limited lockdown till this wave is checked otherwise it would be too late for NCR area. They have already delayed too much. Covid is a Contagion. The Only way is to impose restrictions on population when there is a fresh wave. It's necessary to do so and to save their lives. more
Odd even worked very satisfactorily, no traffic jams on the way one could reach destination in shorter time. Idle ,running engine decrease was really remarkable, less pollution, because no futile burning petrol/ diesel .parkng available at destination. Neigh bours became good friends due to pooling of cars, , more income for EWS auto drivers and their families. So much money earned because of 2000/- fine. That money MUST be spent on improving condition of broken roads, adding more sophisticated buses,to be used by AGED commuters. Women easy to board buses. Street lights to improve for night driving, many street lights are broken hidden under tall ,growing trees, chop of ONLY the tops of trees. to render safety of using the roads at night. Public expects prompt action on positive suggestions. DELHITES WILL FORGET ABOUT CARS ONCE VAT IS INCREASED ON PETROL AND DIESEL. KHUJLIWAL MUST INCREASE CESS AND VAT ON PETROL AND DIESEL AND ALL THE TAXES COLLECTED MUST BE GIVEN TO A NEW TRANSPORT CORPORATION WHICH MUST BE DELHI PEOPLE AND COMMUTERS OWNED WHO WOULD OWN ITS SHARES AND NOT LIKE DTC WHICH IS ALWAYS IN LOSSES. METRO CESS MUST BE LEVIED ON ALL PETROLEUM AND OTHER FOSSILE FUELS SO THAT METRO NETWORK CAN BE EXPANDED. IN OUR COUNTRY WE HAVE CAR CENTRIC POLICIES, HENCE WE DO NOT CREATE CIVIC AND PEOPLE ORIENTED INFRASTRUCTURE WHICH NEEDS TO BE PUT IN IMMEDIATELY. more
