4500 patients of Covid 19 missing

It's horrifying that in Bengaluru, authorities are not aware of the whereabouts of 4,500 Covid positive patients.

BBMP Commissioner admits these patients are 'missing'! Which means Health officials have no clue where they are and hence are not tracking them or their contacts!

The commissioner of BBMP should be held accountable

What if those guys are around you and me infecting us? more

There is a limit for the frontline personnel to work. COVID 19 WILL NOT GO AWAY IF PEOPLE DO NOT COOPERATE AS RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS. Unfortunately, our education system in schools does not instill discipline as one of the prime subjects. If done, at least future generations will be more responsible. more
Karnataka has been telling that it has ben following the 5 T's from testing to Technology . And was very cautious of the borders with the neighbouring 5 states and even sealed for some some time . Probably that helped in containing the disease till July . But suddenly the cases started rising as the testing rate increased which showed the real pictire . The lockdown periods were utilized by other states to increase the the bed strength , develope Quarantine centres (Educational Institutions and Play grounds) , Procure Equipments . Then the testing rate was increased . How is that we hear about patients trying for 5 hours for bed and refused treatment and Die . The death rate is the highest in Karnataka 2% among the southern states, will indicate that that the medical facilities are wanting . Further as the member has pointed out that recovery rate (Recovered cases devided by Total cases) is as low as 37% compared to other states , Telangana 75%, A.P. 48% T.N. 76% . Another indicator for early Treatment facility made available is the Current Recovered cases Vs Under Treatment .In most states the Total recovered cases are higher than even trebble the under treatment cases . more
While states like Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Delhi and MP are reporting good recovery percentages, the situation in Karnataka is just the opposite. We continue to read reports about patients being denied admission by both Government and private hospitals. Another matter of grave concern is the insistence for prescription about being positive and in its absence, patients being made to run from pillar to post and lastly a total mismatch about availability of beds as per data and in reality.GOI should act immediately. more
Really this is very bad situation for publics.BBMP should take care for escaping patients. Publics also should cooperate with BBMP and Corona warriors. Now situations will becomes very tense if escaped persons mingled with publics and they spreading to all. This could not be happen, govt should take adequate steps. more
i agree with you completely as I am a senior citizen who is already in a panic mode and they should take take lessons from South africa where they could track and trace and bring Covid 19 under control. more
