Mr. Sunil Baijal. Strenuous physical activity and warm temperatures are commonly associated with excessive sweating. You may also sweat excessively as a result of a fever. During this rainy season when Humidity is very high even a normal person will sweat. Excessive sweating that affects large areas of the body and that occurs while you're awake and asleep is likely a side effect of a drug or a sign of a disease or condition, such as menopause hot flashes, anxiety or overactive thyroid. Excessive daytime sweating of the palms, soles and underarms for no apparent reason is known as focal hyperhidrosis. This type of excessive sweating typically stops when you're sleeping. You can check on his Diabetes by a Sugar Test. Also check on whether he has Hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid). This is the Tyroid Function Test. If these tests are alright there is nothing to worry. Please give me a feed back and then we can act further on the reports you get. more

Though I am not a quack, but a MBBS doctor, I am suggesting a home remedy(tried & tested) which helped many. Just soak hands for 10 minutes in water left after boiling potatoes twice daily for few days. Please give me feed back if it worked in your case. more

I do not want to scare you in any way. Prevention is better than cure. It can be due to Hyperhidrosis. Hyperhidrosis is the condition characterized by abnormally increased sweating/perspiration, in excess of that required for regulation of body temperature. Hyperhidrosis can also be classified depending by onset, either congenital or acquired. Primary or focal hyperhidrosis is found to start during adolescence or even before and seems to be inherited as an autosomal dominant genetic trait. Primary or focal hyperhidrosis must be distinguished from secondary hyperhidrosis, which can start at any point in life. The later form may be due to a disorder of the thyroid or pituitary glands, diabetes mellitus, tumors. You need to consult a good Endocinologist. The best in NCR is Dr. Amrish Mittal. He goes to Medanta the Medcity in Gurgaon. But he see's at his residence at Vasant Kunj in the evening. C 5/47 Grand Vasant Kunj.
