With daily COVID cases over 9000 in Delhi-NCR, near 1000 AQI dangerous pollution levels, overcrowded markets due to festive shopping and many people looking at socialising in the next one week, we are headed for difficult times.
If you can, do create awareness about this with your family and friends, requesting them to stay indoors in the next 7 days. With zero Covid ICU beds already, if daily cases go into the 10,000+ zone, we will have a serious health crisis.

Best of luck! I can guarantee that nothing will happen and no law will be enforced. The law has been there for years about noise pollution, but the police has never ever done anything. more

There is a fundamental problem in this note. Other than JM, no one can penalized any citizen and even JM cannot fine more than INR 200. Further this drive should run for DJs, Loudspeakers and others. Why special on Diwali. Why not during the New year, Shab-e-raat and X-Mas. Even RWA, Corporation cannot stop anyone. Only Police has authority to stop or impound the crackers (Except Soundless Crackers). I don't know why people come out only during Diwali for such type of drive. Why they are sleeping during other festivals nuisances. more
