It doesn't have iodine at all, so not good for daily consumption. Only can be used in vrats and for digestion remedies. Mixing of salt makes no sense. Foods rich in iodine are mainly from the sea like fish cod, seaweeds(rarely available in India). So iodised salt is only best to use. You can take Tata salt lite as it contains less sodium chloride content. more

Apart from Iodine issue, Rock Salt is much better. It strengthens the body with 84 different minerals and trace elements that are essential to good health. Rock Salt possesses all essential mineral materials and trace elements, which are present also in the human body. Rock salt is 85% Sodium with the remaining 15% being made up of trace minerals and elements. Rock Salt has some natural iodine in it but it not a high source of it. Since Rock Salt tastes of sulfur, some people don like it but if some one has Sulphur tolerance they can use it easily in moderation. more
