Cancellation by the drivers are high in Tamilnadu and Karnataka. Ola insist for Ola Money. But the drivers insist for cash. This is also leading to the Cancellation. more
Cancellation by drivers is high when the distance involved is not far. This sg hould be monitored more
My problem is slightly different.I am a senior citizen and had to go to Gayatri sevashram Habsiguda. My son booked Uber cab. After reaching Habsiguda metro station the driver said that was the destination and asked us to get own We told him that Gayatri ashram is further away nd it would take only 5 minutes to reach.reluctantly he took us there and asked for cash payment though it was Paytm payment. Since we were late we paid him cash. After he left we were shocked to find Uber deducted the fare through paytm. In spite of hectic efforts Uber never bothered to reply. So much for the integrity of Uber. more
On 5 April booked an OLA Cab to pick us up from MCA Club BKC. After waiting for a few minutes I called the driver and requested him to come inside MCA Club, the driver said he is waiting near ONGC bldg. After some time driver cancelled the booking. I booked another cab who came immediately but I was charged Rs.50/- extra as cancellation fee, even though the ride was cancelled by driver. Next day tried to contact OLA. The telephone no. for customer care was disconnecting after a few rings. There is no customer care email id. Finally with great difficulty managed to inform OLA that ride was not cancelled by me. OLA has issued a free ride voucher for Rs.50/-. I have been using OLA and this is the first time I had this experience. Government must compel Cab Aggregator Companies to provide a Telephone No. and email id where customers can lodge their complaints. more
If any driver cancelled his booking, then he should have to pay a fine and in addition, the rate payable to new taxi which user may ask for or book in such emergency, should have a discount of 30% of the normal charges. This would control such instances to a large extent more
