Mukul Mohan Mittal

I logged into GST site. Having only 3 invoices for July, I tried entering the invoices online manually. As there was some mistake in the entered information, I deleted the invoice data. Now on the Returns dashboard, there is zero invoice and zero taxable value. But when I re-enter the invoice information, it says that the invoice already exists in file for 2017 - 07. It seems there is a bug in their website, which should be quickly attended to, so people can manage compliance. more

If you are working online then you should never delete instead issue a credit note against the wrong invoice and then generate a fresh invoice more

Your advice would be valid once the return has been filed. But at this time, it is only preliminary entry of data, and the return will be filed once all information is entered. In fact, the portal does provide for deletion of any wrong entry - that's how I did it. more
