It has come to notice that Banks are deducting money from the accounts of account holders towards contribution to PMSSBY and PMJBY without seeking the consent of the account holders. Both schemes have so far not disclosed details about the insurance policies as well as claim procedures and grievance redressal. The deduction from the accounts of the customer without the request of the customer need to be stopped immediately. I seek details of the customers who feel the amount has been deducted. The amount of Rs.12/- is such a low that the customers may not be realising that the amount is being taken out of their accounts quietly. more

It need to be ensured from the bank by each account holder whether the mentioned amount of 12/- is deducted. If yes then objection must be raised because honest taxpayers money should not be used or misused without his prior knowledge. I am also keen to know that if this practice is universal then are MPs and MLAs and Ministers also getting it done . For a noble cause all must unite and dispense it nobly Dr S.Sanyal more

Thanks. I will visit the bank. OK fine. But main point you have missed - Deficiency of service. To get the scheme to my satisfaction I have to make so much effort. How guarantees, that after my death - promised are full filled? Same is true in respect of all the schemes - mid day meals, Madreka, PDS - you name any. Since these schemes are for poor - you give them 10% and pocket rest. They have no alternative - they have to accept with thanks. But tax payers pays, including for their inefficiency as well as for committees / inquiry / investigation to check for wrong doing. HOW PAYS CBI, CAG, SIT ETC? Also parliament is on picnic mood fighting - for or against the scheme. ONLY TAX PAYERS ARE WORRIED LOT. UNLESS GOVERNMENT - ORGANIZATION COME WITH RESULTS - NO SCHEME IS BENEFICIAL FOR THE TARGETED CLASS. IT IS ELECTION JUMLA. SO NOW THE BALL IS IN GOVERNMENT OFFICER'S COURT - NO REPORTS, NO COMMITTEES - PUBLIC WANTS, RESULT BY THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE. IF I AM HAPPY - WITH WHAT I GOT - ALL GOVERNMENT SCHEMES ARE GOOD. BUT IF I AM NOT HAPPY WITH ONE SCHEME - ALL SCHEMES ARE JUMLAS. SO EVERY BODY HAVE TO PERFORM - AND PERFORM VERY GOOD. more

I refer to the comment of Shri Sanjeev Bhatnagar Ji. I would advise you to immediately write a letter to the bank and ask for the requisite document. The Bank will not be providing you any document on its own and I would like to see the response of the bank on your request of the documents. In case the bank is PSU bank, please resort to RTI route in case Bank does not supply the documents. Please advise me if you need any assistance. more

In my opinion, one should not give the Bank Account No. to any agency. No one knows where the money has gone ..... We must be careful and need not be enthusiastic..... more
