I am running a SSI unit in Okhla Indl. Area Phase I, New Delhi for the past 40 years and have 2 landline connections (Nos. 26814075 and 26818923) from MTNL for the past for more than 35 years. Recently, during the past almost 2 years both my phones have not been working due to regular cable fault (between June ’14 and Nov. ’15). In spite of our regular complaints to MTNL, the service staff did not bother to restore the two connections and even if they were restored sometimes, the phones went dead again after working for 2-3 days maximum during this period. We are manufacturing very unique patented portable geysers and sell them directly to our customers in Delhi & NCR who are in direct contact with us through these very old phone numbers. Due to non-working of our 2 numbers, we lost so many orders as our customers could not contact us through landlines during peak of our season during winters as our Mobile numbers remained heavily congested. On our request to the Dept. some of our bills with 0 or 5-10 calls recorded were either waived off or reduced, while the number of calls recorded on each of our phones used to be 700-1100 per month when both the numbers work working. Even now our bills dated 13/09/2015 for Rs.176 (for # 26818923) and Rs. 203 dt 13/08/2015 & Rs.224 dt 13/09/2015 (For # 26814075) which have all recorded 0 calls are pending and the Dept. has not given us any relief on these in spite of our requests and we keep on getting reminders for payment of these bills. How can we make payment of bills which have recorded 0 calls and we have not been able to utilise the service of the phone at all over that period? more

This is the trick to boost private telecom sectors getting bribes from them. Nothing can be done as this is going on in all sectors from transport to telecom. No one is accountable in government system for any fault, delay or non-function. We have to bear these things as nothing can be done by common people like you and me unless or otherwise we change to total political system. Scams and scams have come out and are coming out for the last few years. Do you think that anyone will be punished? The answer will be NO. Congress will safeguard BJP likewise BJP also will safeguard Congress when comes to corruption because these two are in power and whoever comes to power, they will pretend to fight in front of common people, but behind the screen, they will shake hands and protect corrupts. Big businessmen and NGO's will be their mediator. more
