Mr Bansal, You missed the whole point...... juries manned by "common man/woman" will dispense swift and timely justice as has been done for over 250 years in the US (remember the British ruled the US....just like in India before independence... and recognized the inability of appointed officials... aka judges.... to dispense justice)..... and elsewhere..... before you claim "our system is better"..... Urge you to do some "legal research" in the matter and the role of judges, lawyers, etc.... in such a system. Chief Justices of India, in the past, have proclaimed that justice delayed is justice denied... and a few weeks back the CJI shed tears in public in the inability of the present system to mete out timely justice..... yet you harp and support this "system" and reject alternatives that have worked better.... much much better around the globe for several centuries already. It is clear to me... at least.... that there are vested interests that prefer the "status quo" and ...... may the force be with you/them... Perhaps you have not looked in the innocent eyes of (your)children/grand children yet but will one day see why THEY deserve better..... till then enjoy..... the complete failure of the judicial system in India to dispense justice.... till the force of the people demands justice... now and not after decades or in many cases.... after death.... more
