Hi i am Bhavana Priyadarshini from Patna. To make raiway better we have to take initiative from our end.As no body can change the schenario alone.as per my opinion , if we want to clean our rails we hv to take initiative as my home.,first we have to stop broker whose making fake tickets with the help some employees to earn more and more money .our railway is in better position but we some person pull down in botton.first we have to change our mind set to make more and more money from our railway.we have to handover those person who are doing cheating.secondly i want to share one incident once i was coming from shirdi.my train was from manmad junction.i was very scared bcoz i was having a ticket of first ac,bcause there was not availability of ticket in second ac.train was in 2am in night and stopes of a minute only.i was alone.when train came i saw TT was standing on the gate and waiting for me.as i was only person to board.he told Miss Bhavana.he came on platform and help me carry my luggage.he told me no need to worry i m here only if you feel any problem i am here as i was afraid as my co passenger was a man.we were only on that coup.whole nite i spend to talk with TT.then i understand humanity is live everywhere.we are still in touch.although i m not travelling frequently with train.
thanx

Referring Shri DK Sarkar's post. Both sort of people exist i, every where not only in the Railways. I have met TTE's who do not do their work properly and those who are very helpful. Iwas travelling from Ludhiana to Ahmedabad by the Jammutavi Express, at eh hight of winter, by the sleeper class, all the windows were open and stuck and could not be closed. I informed the TTE who replied "if some one had told me about this at Jammutavi I could have got them repaired. What can I do now?)" I TOLD HIM THAT HAD I KNOWN THAT IT WAS THE PASSENGERS TO ENSURE THAT EVERY THING IN THE TRAIN WORKED PROPERLY, I WOULD HAVE GONE TO THE YARD IN JAMMUTAVI, EXAMINED THE ENTIRE RAKE, THE ENGINE AS WELL AS FOUND OUT WHETHER THE DRIVER AND OTHER CREW WERE FIT TO PERFORM, THEM COME BACK TO LUDHIANA AND BOARDED FROM THERE. I ALSO TOLD HIM THAT I SHALL PULL THE CHAIN AND NOT LET THE TRAIN TO PROCEED FROM THE NEXT JUNCTION UNLESS THE WINDOWS WERE CLOSED. THIS WORKED AND HE GOT SOME MECHANICS (probably Ac mechanics) to rectify the windows. I can recall may such incidents of seer neglect by the railways in the past and THAT IS WHY I OPPOSE THE REMOVAL OF EMERGENCY CHAINS FROM THE COACHES. more
Indian Railways is not one man or one-thousand man organisation. I have been a regular user of the Indian Railways for the past 55 years, traveling in suburban locals (Bombay/ Calcutta), long distance trains in many parts - not less than 10,000 km/yr , individually - excluding the coverage by my family members). almost in all classes 1st AC to unreserved (second class). Therefore. the downfall in the service quality/behaviour of the railway personnel as also passengers are too obvious to me. Once I was traveling from Ambala Cantt. to Bhandara Road ( Maharashtra). I was holding a confirmed 2AC ticket. When I had just stepped inside the compartment, the TTE got hold of collar of my shirt and shouted - how i dared to enter into the compartment -when there is no room! At that time I had just crossed my 40's and therefore could retaliate with a nasty blow on his mouth and shouting still louder - with how much money he had sold my reserved birth.One/two RPF jawans standing nearby preferred to escape. The TTE became amiable and started smiling - no.no. I didn't mean it to you, my action was only to prevent un-authorised persons to provide best service to you, etc.etc. Then I asked him what had provoked him to hold my collar without even asking me for my ticket or at least for verbal affirmation about my reservation? Then he allowed me to proceed to my berth. I have dozens of such bitter experiences, sweet experiences are getting overwhelmed by the former kind, and hence becoming minority and facing 'endangered' towards extinction (read oblivion). more
Sure I with all my friends follows your suggestion. Nation first. On 26 Dec 2016 3:02 p.m., Bhavana Priyadarshini wrote: more
