A complaint of activation of some add-on channels by Videocond2h was taken up by the author of the post as the consumer who complained was belonging to an under developed society. However it took lot of efforts in getting reversal of the amount that was being deducted from his account since January 2016. The consumer has been given the extension of the validity of his prepaid account by another two months. In the process I found that many such consumers are suffering from such activation and deduction thereof from subscribers account. I feel there is some loophole in the system of activation of add-on TV channels packs and therefore plan to take up the issue with the respective authorities appropriately for a corrective process to be followed up by the industry. Before I take up the issue with the authorities I would like to seek views from the members as to what are the issues, problems and the responses of the customer care executives in DTH industry on account of activation and de-activation of add-on packages without their knowledge. I hope consumers would facilitate me in raising the issues through their opinions.
